A new school year is about to start – in some regions, it has started already – and as usual, this is the busiest time of year for us working with Fronter. We have been hard at work during the spring and over the summer to prepare everything for the new school year.
During the last year, we have focused on stabilizing and improving many of the most used tools in Fronter, such as Assignment, Test and ILP. In addition, we have done a lot of improvements in processes and tools central to the start of year (back to school) routine, and we have delivered functional improvements in several areas.
Over the summer we released a new feedback loop functionality within our Assignment tool which we hope will be well received by our users, and right now we are working on the finishing touches on functionality to support the 10% absence rule for Norwegian high schools (videregående skole) which a lot of our Norwegian customers have requested. Further improvements to the ILP tools are also in the pipeline.
We have also done many improvements to our infrastructure to increase uptime and performance, and I am happy to report that we have increased uptime significantly so far in 2017 compared to the same period last year – as of July 31, our uptime in 2017 is above 99.95%. The number of incidents affecting our customers have been reduced by more than 40%.
Going forward we will spend a lot of time working on the user experience in the most used tools in Fronter, as well as improving the overall navigation in the application, and we aim to release a series of improvements during the coming school year that we think will be well received by students and teachers both.
We look forward to working with you all to make Fronter a great platform for both teachers and students.
