Meet the new itslearning Group Chief Financial Officer

From the CEO's desk

I’m delighted to announce a new member to the itslearning executive team, Torvald Reiestad who joined us as Group CFO in May. He comes to us at an exciting time as we continue to invest and grow and will have a central role, working alongside me in helping to expand itslearning into new markets.

Torvald brings with him over a decade of experience in investment banking, financing and board-work. Prior to joining itslearning, he was Head of Restructuring in the corporate banking department at Sparebanken Vest. He helped secure strong growth in the corporate portfolio, taking the bank from the worst performer to best on reducing loan losses among banks in Norway.

As CFO, Torvald’s primary responsibilities will be to determine the direction of the finance, risk management and human resources departments here at itslearning. He has also been tasked with building a stronger relationship with our core partners.

“Building a culture where we learn from our mistakes and focus on win-win strategies with our customers is instrumental for any company in today’s business arena. Clear, fact-based communication and advice for decision makers is key.” ~ Torvald Reiestad

Having served previously as a board member at PwC and as an Investment Manager at Borea, a Bergen-based private equity firm, Torvald has a solid grasp of providing value for customers. He has, in my view, the drive and enthusiasm to take itslearning to the next level, to become the trusted global learning management system provider – the world’s education partner.

Torvald not even breaking a sweat during the Stoltzekleiven Opp last year

In addition to his finance pedigree, Torvald is a keen football player and runner with a not-too-shabby time on the Stoltzekleiven Opp run last year. He will most definitely be a welcome addition to our team that will be competing in this annual challenge in Bergen later this year.

I look forward to us working very closely to develop itslearning into a truly global LMS company.

In other news – we have had the best result ever from our NPS survey – higher than the industry benchmark for technology companies. We need to keep this positive vibe going with better engagement with our customers to ensure that we build a strong community of itslearning evangelists to take the brand further.

Internally, we’ve also had good numbers from our Employee Satisfaction Survey – our best in recent history. We have built a team that is passionate about education and the people who use our platform, a team that does an amazing job every day at itslearning offices around the world.

We are a world-class team and we continue to look for and hire exemplary people from around the world.
