Integrating with Kaltura adds a full layer of video tools within the itslearning platform — including recording, editing, sharing and more.

Bergen, Norway — September 21, 2017 — itslearning, leading global LMS provider, announced today its partnership with Kaltura, a market leader in video solutions —  adding Kaltura’s full video capabilities to the itslearning platform. This essentially allows faculty and students to interact using Kaltura’s interactive video tools directly within itslearning.

Kaltura offers a market-leading suite of video solutions that fulfills all video-related needs an institution may have, using a unified video platform that can be accessed anytime, anywhere, on any device — live and VOD. Educational institutions can take teaching and learning to a new level by enabling the latest trends in education, including flipped classrooms, blended learning, online communities, MOOCs, and BYOD. Kaltura’s video solutions can also be used to support admissions, live coverage of board meetings, professional development, campus events, student groups, alumni functions, marketing, libraries and archives, and more.

Thomas Gunleiksrud, Vice President of International Sales for itslearning, said of the partnership: “We are excited to collaborate with Kaltura and bring a new level of video creation and management to itslearning users all over the world. Our goal is to always be improving, bringing features into the platform that we know our users will benefit from. An integration with Kaltura certainly achieves that.”

With Kaltura, staff and students can easily create, upload, edit, manage, publish, and deliver high quality video on any device, live or on-demand. This allows institutions to drive interaction, build community, boost creativity, extend their reach, and even improve learning results.

Teachers can also create classroom capture and webcast recordings with Kaltura’s lecture capture system and webcasting solution built right into the platform. All content is kept in one place, making it easier to share across departments while still controlling access.

Kaltura is in use by many institutions in the Nordic and Benelux countries, with current partnerships with several local NREN’s such as NORDUnet, SUNet and SURF.

The integration of Kaltura into itslearning is now available to all users.
