The Norwegian Armed Forces (Forsvaret) has chosen the itslearning for their higher education needs — strengthening student engagement and improving learning outcomes.
Oslo, Norway — February 14, 2018 — itslearning, the leading Learning Platform for Higher Education that champions student-centered learning, announced today that it has signed a new agreement with Norway’s Armed Forces. The agreement means that itslearning will deliver the e-learning software solution to all related Higher Education institutions, including Forsvarets Høyskole (FHS), Sjøkrigsskolen (SKSK), Hærens Utdanningssenter (HUS), Forsvarets Ingeniørhøyskole (FIH) og Heimevernet. The Norwegian Armed Forces selected itslearning after the platform gained the highest scores in functionality during the tender process.
Commander Geir Isaksen of the Norwegian Armed Forces commented on the recent decision to select itslearning: “After a meticulous process — testing several major Learning Management Systems in the higher education market — we found itslearning to be the best platform when it comes to providing functionality and solutions that meet our needs.”
The proven ability of itslearning to deliver educational software to universities of this scale also played a part in this agreement. Recently, several University Colleges in Denmark as well as Stockholm University signed with itslearning after running similar, extensive selection processes. This momentum continues the aim of itslearning to create a hub of collaborative universities in Scandinavia and beyond, where they can discuss and share best practices.
