Public schools in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Germany have been working with the itslearning learning management system (LMS) for the past 18 months. Currently 88% of the region’s schools are using the platform. “Feedback from schools working with itslearning has been consistently positive,” reports Simone Oldenburg, Minister of Education for the federal state.

itslearning is a dynamic system under continuous development, thus the benefit to schoolchildren will only increase over time. The LMS will still be in use after the pandemic and is an important step towards the digitization of schools.”

itslearning offers a multitude of integration opportunities with third-party digital tools and content, like Brockhaus, which provides an encyclopedia and interactive lexicons geared to various age groups.

In addition, the media library of the German Institute for Film and Image in Science and Education (FWU) is available digitally. The content is child-friendly and tailored to various levels of difficulty.

itslearning also provides professional training for teachers, through Masterclass for example, a video training course for teachers in cooperation with the national institute for teacher training and ZDF digital.

We are happy to see that the adoption rate is high, and that feedback from users in the region is positive! Of all our customers in Germany, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern is currently in the top three in terms of active users.”
