C2k Curriculum Services Team
In 2000, Capita signed a strategic partnership with C2K, The C2k project provides the infrastructure and services to support the enhanced use of ICT in schools in Northern Ireland. Capita became responsible for running a host of core services for Primary and Post Primary schools. Part of the service offering included in the agreement was a Learning Management System (LMS), Fronter. The Fronter platform was acquired by itslearning in 2016.
Since taking ownership of Fronter, itslearning has forged a close replacement with Capita and its customer, C2k. The fundamental ingredients have been transparency, trust, reliability and commitment. In collaboration, the LMS gained prominence in C2k, both through increased stability and performance under the steer of itslearning, and then consequentially as a key tool in the Shared Education project between Catholic and Protestant schools.
The relationship with Capita in the C2k contract has transformed into a strategic partnership from which further collaboration opportunities outside Northern Ireland have emerged.
