Because great teachers deserve recognition

Teachers go above and beyond every day—supporting students, creating inspiring lessons and strengthening learning communities. The Teacher of the Year Award celebrates outstanding teachers from schools using itslearning who inspire, guide and make learning matter.

We’re looking for teachers who:

  • Spark curiosity and motivate their students
  • Make a lasting impact in the classroom and beyond
  • Create engaging and meaningful learning experiences

And as a thank you for nominating, you’ll also be entered into a raffle to win Robert, the dancing Bluetooth robot speaker.

Why Nominate?

Every day, teachers do more than teach — they inspire, encourage, and shape future generations. This award is a chance to say thank you and give teachers the recognition they deserve.

Got questions? We've got answers

Everything you need to know about nominating your Teachers of the Year — from who can participate to how the nominations are used.

Who can nominate a teacher?

Anyone. Students, parents/guardians, family, friends, colleagues, or principals. Nominators must be at least 14 years old. We do not knowingly collect data from individuals younger than 14, and if such a submission is identified, it will be deleted immediately

Who can be nominated?

Only teachers currently working at a school that uses itslearning.

Can I submit more than one nomination?

No. Each person may only submit one nomination. This also equals one entry in the raffle.

What happens after I nominate a teacher?

After you submit your nomination, the teacher will be contacted by itslearning to let them know they’ve been nominated.

They’ll be given the choice to confirm whether they’d like to participate in the campaign. As part of this process, we will also verify their credentials - for example, confirming that they are currently teaching at an institution using itslearning.

  • If the teacher chooses not to participate, their information will be deleted. Your name will still remain in the raffle.
  • If the teacher is not teaching at an itslearning institution, the nomination will not be valid, and in this case both the nomination and your raffle entry will be void.
How are we going to select the winners?

All nominations will be carefully reviewed by the itslearning team. We are looking for teachers who truly make a difference in the lives of their students and communities. The selection of the three winners will be based on the following criteria:

  1. Inspiration & Motivation – How the teacher inspires curiosity, confidence, and a love for learning.

  2. Impact on Students – Clear examples of how the teacher has made a positive difference in students’ lives.

  3. Engagement & Creativity – How the teacher creates meaningful, engaging, and inclusive learning experiences.

  4. Community Contribution – How the teacher contributes to building a supportive, respectful, and collaborative school environment.

  5. Overall Story – The strength, authenticity, and heart of the nomination shared.

We want this award to highlight teachers who go above and beyond, making learning meaningful and memorable for their students.

What do the winning teachers receive?

Three teachers worldwide will be recognized and receive:

  • A personalised plaque
  • itslearning merchandise
  • A free online training and consultation session for their school
  • A Bluetooth dancing robot speaker (Robert)
  • Breakfast for the teacher and the colleagues
What do nominators receive?

All nominators enter a raffle to win Robert, the Bluetooth dancing robot speaker (one entry per person).

When is the deadline?

All nominations must be submitted by October 3.

How will nominations be used?

Selected quotes/nomination texts may be used in marketing, such as on social media or landing pages, but only if you have provided explicit consent

Is this contest connected to social media platforms?

No. This contest is not affiliated with Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, or any other platform.
