itslearning signs agreement to support China’s education plan

In the presence of their Majesties the King and Queen of Norway, the Norwegian Minister of Commerce and high-ranking Chinese officials, itslearning signed an MoU with Chinese Traceboard Technology to start a joint venture between the two companies to support education in China.

BEIJING, 24 October 2018 — Thomas Gunleiksrud, VP of International Sales at itslearning says, “In cooperation with Traceboard, we are determined to help the Chinese Government succeed with their current five-year plan for education. By 2020, the children in China will have access to a learning platform that allows them to reach their full potential through technology to better adapt a rapidly changing future.”

The plan is that the two companies will work together to deliver a learning platform to educational institutions in China. “With this agreement, we will take the best digital teaching and learning practices from the Western world, and work with Traceboard to offer a world-class solution to improve education. This means a lot to us.” Added Gunleiksrud.

itslearning serves its learning platform to over seven million active users. This partnership offers the potential to double its users within the next few years. Traceboard already delivers digital learning products throughout numerous provinces in China.

“Their top-selling product in China and elsewhere is digital whiteboards. Their learning platform hasn’t come as far,” Gunleiksrud explains. “The plan is to use itslearning as a foundation and integrate technological solutions from Traceboard, which has 12 million users. We’ll start by implementing itslearning with 1.2 million of these users. This will happen relatively quickly, since the product has already been made. We just have to tailor it to this market.”
