At itslearning, we’re committed to building a learning platform that works for everyone—and that includes making it more accessible, easier to navigate, and modern in design. That’s why we’re excited to unveil the redesigned Resource Page: a cleaner, smarter, and more user-friendly experience for both teachers and students.
NOTE: This feature is not live yet, but will be available in time for the new school year (2025/2026).
The heart of this redesign is accessibility. We wanted to ensure that all users—including those using screen readers or navigating without a mouse—can fully manage and explore their resources. This meant rethinking certain outdated elements and replacing them with better, more inclusive solutions.
One major change? The removal of the resource tree, which wasn’t accessible for everyone. But we listened to your feedback and introduced a better alternative: the Content Map.
Explore the interactive images below to discover the new features we’ve developed for you!
Changing for the better: Here is a comparison of the new resource page vs the old version
The Content Map replaces the old, inaccessible tree menu on the left side of your Resource page. Now, whenever you’re inside a folder and upload files or create new items (like an Assignment or Test), they automatically appear in this clear, table-of-contents-style overview.
Note on Drag & Drop:
To ensure full keyboard and screen-reader accessibility, drag-and-drop is not supported in the Content Map. All actions—like uploading or moving items—can be completed via buttons and keyboard shortcuts.
We understand that changes to familiar interfaces take time to adjust to. But rest assured—these updates are designed to improve navigation and efficiency in the long term. This is a global update, and the old resource tree will no longer be available.
We're confident that the new Resource Page will offer a smoother, more inclusive experience for everyone using itslearning.
