After a thorough tender process, University College Copenhagen (KP) has chosen itslearning as their learning platform for all students.
Copenhagen, Denmark - November 19, 2019 - itslearninghas an educational focus that helps educators improve their teaching with a learner-centered approach. In light of this, University College Copenhagen has concluded that itslearning is the platform that best supports their academic expectations.
The selection process according to University College Copenhagen:
After a long and thorough preparation, we have decided that itslearning will be KP's common learning platform going forward. Our process for selecting a learning platform was launched almost a year ago with a thorough pre-analysis and user survey. In the selection process, the most important criterion was the quality criterion with 75%, while the economy weighed 25%. Three vendors chose to bid and all three products were tested by a broad evaluation group. itslearning scored highest in the quality evaluation and was the most economical offer over a 7-year period. The group decided that itslearning is the most user-friendly system and finds itslearning particularly strong in the following areas:
- curriculum and overview
- Easy access to learning materials
- communication features in the platform
- Student progression and the instructor's ability to track student digital engagement on the platform and access from all devices (e.g. mobile phones and tablets)
According to Peter Flodin - Head of Library and IT - KP chose itslearning as the common LMS because we need to be able to collaborate and teach across programs and locations:
- with a common LMS, it's easy to collaborate across educational programs and interprofessional activities
- duplication of courses will be particularly challenging without a common LMS
- students will experience the same system across all modules or classes
- consistent experience in KP
- Contributes to a shared identity for staff and students
itslearning - Strong status in Denmark's higher education
Following the decision announced earlier this month, itslearning and KP are preparing the implementation for KP's more than 20,000 full-time students and approximately 2,000 employees. By adding these users to the existing customer base of VIA University College, UCL Business Academy and University College, University College UC Syd and University College Absalon, itslearning now serves more than 125,000 educators and students at universities in Denmark.
"We are honored to be awarded this offer and have signed with the fifth university college in Denmark. Our partnership with our customers is built on close collaboration and extensive experience in the learning platform market. At itslearning, we pride ourselves on knowing the needs of education and we work closely with educators to understand their needs. "
