With our upgraded announcements editor, you can now use rich-text formatting such as headings, bold, italics, lists, and links so that every message appears exactly as you intend. This added flexibility helps teachers and students stay connected, informed, and engaged throughout every course.

What’s new

The announcements tool is your go-to place for communicating with everyone involved in your course. With this update, teachers can quickly create announcements at the top of the course overview using a rich-text editor. It supports headings, bold and italic text, bullet points, numbered lists, and even embedded content like YouTube or Vimeo videos.

Keep important messages visible

Need to highlight a key message, deadline or reminder? You can pin one announcement at a time to keep it visible at the top of your course overview. Pinned announcements are only shown in the course, not in the main updates feed, to keep things streamlined.

The updated announcements feature makes it easier than ever to communicate clearly, share key resources, and encourage meaningful interaction in your course. Whether you’re posting a quick update or a detailed message, announcements help everyone stay informed and focused.
