Copenhagen - June 1, 2017 - itslearning, a leading global learning platform provider, announced today that it has signed an agreement with University College UCC. The decision to migrate from StudieZone to itslearning was made after an extensive analysis that included students and staff.

UCC is located in Copenhagen and has 10,000 full-time students and 6,000 part-time students. UCC is one of Denmark's largest providers of teacher education, social pedagogy, continuing education and supplementary diploma programs in these areas.

"We are very much looking forward to moving to a modern and proven learning platform that meets our needs on a much larger scale," says Katja Munch Thorsen, Deputy Director at UCC. "There is no doubt that itslearning will make many things easier and, above all, support our students' learning in the best possible way."

This news follows University College Lillebaelt's (UCL) decision to sign a contract with itslearning. itslearning was given top marks by UCL and UCC within the three criteria: functionality, usability and price.

Other University Colleges can join

During the original tender process, UCL worked closely with four other University Colleges, including UCC.

The outcome of the evaluation of the tender is supported by all participating University Colleges. The tender gave four University Colleges the opportunity to enter into the same contract with itslearning as UCL - thereby fulfilling the tender obligation. This collaborative process was arranged in the hope of strengthening the overall collaboration between the university colleges by working together on a learning platform.

"We have high expectations that collaboration and exchange of good experiences between the UCs will continuously improve with our joint use of itslearning," says Katja Munch Thorsen.

Thomas Gunleiksrud, Deputy CEO of itslearning, concluded by saying: "We are excited to collaborate with university colleges and look forward to supporting student engagement, improving learning outcomes and facilitating the sharing of best practices at these higher education institutions in Denmark."

Implementation of itslearning for both UCL and UCC is currently underway.
