What is Gooru?
Gooru is an educational technology non-profit, which has developed tools for personalized learning. K-12 Educators leverage a free catalog of open source digital content across multiple subject areas curated and vetted by innovative teachers and schools around the country. Teachers and students can use Gooru to search for rich collections of multimedia resources, videos, games and quizzes contributed by educators in the Gooru community and content providers.
How does Gooru work with itslearning?
Starting in the fall of 2016, Gooru’s open catalog will be available within the itslearning library. This means educators will have access to millions of free multimedia resources, thousands of teacher-vetted collections and assessments. Take a look!
What does the Gooru-itslearning partnership consist of?
Our partnership is made up of many phases.

Gooru’s tools have been co-designed with educators and researchers to support the success of every student and teacher. Gooru’s catalog is vetted by educators to give fellow educators quality, classroom-ready interactive resources, collections, and assessments aligned to standards to support a diversity of learners. itslearning helps educators improve student outcomes by putting learners first, giving them voice and choice in their own education. Who are Gooru’s founders?
Gooru was founded by Prasad Ram (the former head of R&D at Google India and Chief Technology Officer at Yahoo! India) and Amara Humphry (recognized by Forbes 30 under 30 and a product design & engineering graduate of Stanford University ).
