Enhancements to the User Import Process

We have implemented several usability improvements to streamline the process of importing users into itslearning from a CSV file, which include:

• An upgraded file uploader that automatically detects the separator character.
• The ability to navigate away from the page while the import process continues to run in the background.
• Access to import summaries from the past 14 days for easy review.

To make it easier for teachers to understand our different plan concepts, we have added images to the plan setting page. Each plan type and plan workflow will have a corresponding illustration explaining its purpose.

The 'Project Groups' page has been updated to remove the use of frames, which improves usability, accessibility, and compatibility with modern browsers.

Improved Course Card Reorganization

We've introduced a new accessible dropdown menu on each card on the Course Cards page in itslearning. This new functionality provides a straightforward way to reorganize course cards, enhancing usability for touchscreen and screen reader users. Now, all users can rearrange their courses to match their personal priorities.

To access this feature, select the menu button (...) on a course card and choose from options "Move forward," "Move backward," "Move to the beginning," or "Move to the end."

The existing drag-and-drop capabilities of the Course Cards page remain available, ensuring users who prefer or are accustomed to dragging course cards continue to enjoy that flexibility alongside the new button-based interactions. This release adds support for touchscreen and screen reader users by the use of buttons for reordering.

This enhancement gives all users greater flexibility in organizing their course cards, making it easier to quickly access priority courses and streamline their workflow.

Filter Attendance Reports by Date

To make it easier to view attendance records over long-running courses, reports can now be filtered by date. The date filters are available on both the attendance overview and individual student reports. When filters are applied:

• Report tables will include only the calendar events from the selected time period.
• The total absence percentage is recalculated based on the events within the selected time period.
• Total absence minutes and total registered minutes are recalculated using only the events from the selected time period.

By default, reports are presented without any date filtering.

This update impacts the attendance system linked to calendar events and is not applicable to schools utilizing an older version that does not connect to calendar events.
